Sign of the Times

I took this picture in a Harvey Norman in Sydney about a year ago. It reminded me of those signs from the 1930s of men hanging around shipyards and construction sites with ‘Will Work for Food’ signs around their necks. I remember thinking that one day we might look at this picture and think it was strange that at one time companies were so desperate for staff people could apply for a job and not even have to have a CV. I guess we’re already there…
